Quilt of the World

I saw this map of the world panel and decided it would be nice to hang on the boy's wall. I decided to quilt it first. How else would one quilt a map of the world but to follow the latitude and longitude lines? One edge didn't come out even which bothers me, but not enough to make me fix it LOL

Grocery Cart Seat Cover

This is a seat cover so your baby doesn't have to touch (or put their mouth on) the grocery cart that a million hands have touched. I used Simplicity 4636, although I added openings in the back so I can strap Jonah in (I can't believe they didn't have that in the pattern!). I found this Veggie Tales material and I thought the words on it were great. I'm including the pattern picture so you can get an idea what it would look like in the cart.

Valances

I made two of these for the older boys' room. The drapes that were in there were beautiful and probably very expensive but they were just not for a boys room.

Dress

I had this all cut out last Fall, intending to have it finished so I could bring it to Mississippi for my niece. Four months later...here it is! The fabric really isn't this shiny, that's from the flash. Silky fabric looks so pretty in the store, but oh how it slips around when you work with it! I used the serger to do the hem which gives it almost a scalloped look, which I think is really pretty. I used McCall's M2590

Matching Pillow

I know babies don't have a need for pillows, but I wanted to use the leftover fabric.

Baby Quilt

When I was pregnant with Jonah, I had Strawberry Shortcake fabric picked out if the ultrasound would of shown a girl. Obviously, I didn't need it. So this time I was disappointed when they didn't have Strawberry Shortcake fabric anymore. However, my aunt found some downstate so I was able to make this quilt. Oh, and it has a name on the back which means if the ultrasound was wrong I will be searching for somebody with a daughter with this name to give it to.

Lounge Pants

I found this flannel football material awhile back in the remnant bin at Wal*Mart. There was just enough to make some pants for Jonah. I used Simplicity 9455. Perfect for him to wear on Superbowl Sunday :D
