Personalized Tote

I wanted to make a little "going back to school" gift for my cousin who is starting her doctorate (!) program this Fall. She studies math, hence the math fabric. I wish the math problems on the fabric were a little more difficult, but it's not like there is a big selection of math fabric to choose from. I thought the pink would add a nice little touch, an idea I got from looking at bags online.

She mentioned that a place to put a water bottle would be nice and I remembered a bag I had a long time ago with a side pocket for a water bottle and copied that.

Monogramed Bag

This is for my sister who requested an "Americana" themed bag. Appropriate, since she is an Army wife.

Baby Gifts

These are for my newest niece, due in a few weeks.

First, a smocked dress:

And also a quilt. This is just a fourth of the front, it's folded up. I did embroider her name on this, but I'm not sure her mom wants me splashing that online.

I thought this fabric would be cute for the back:

Another Personalized Diaper Bag

Of course, I had to make myself a bag! :) The good news is I made this completely from scraps, I didn't have to spend any $.

I wasn't too crazy about using white (but again, all scraps). I added the pink swirl to add a little more color to the white, but if I had to do it over I don't think I would of added that. Otherwise, I think it turned out cute.

Monogramed diaper bag

This is for my SIL, who is expecting a girl soon! When she asked if I could do this, it gave me the extra incentive I needed to get a new sewing/embroidery machine that I have had my eye on for the longest time. It does just the right amount of embroidery. The bag looks bigger in the picture than it actually is. I love how it turned out and I am planning making one for myself.
