Dress and headband
Can you tell I love making dresses? I had just enough scraps of denim left from a skirt I made a few months back to make the bodice of this dress. I found the other fabric on sale. I did learn how to use my machine to put the buttons on and I am so glad I did! Talk about a time saver.
I love this headband. It's so wide and soft.

Sadie's Christmas Dress
As much fun as it's been looking at dresses in the store, I knew I wanted to make her Holiday dresses (Christmas and Easter). I had SO much fun making this dress while listening to Christmas music. Yahoo radio has the best Christian Holiday station!
I altered the pattern a bit, by not putting in a collar. The dress also has some nice pleats in the front that you can't see (I really need to learn how to take pictures!!)
The best part is, I bought the velour fabric a long time ago from a clearance bin and I had the shimmery fabric left over from the flower girl dresses I made in September. I love that shimmery fabric, the pictures don't do it justice. All I bought was the matching thread and zipper.

Dres for Sadie
I made this dress with the leftover fabric from my skirt. I think it turned out so cute! I might add some trim to it, if I can find some I really like. I really it plain to though. It's still big on her and she should be able to wear it all winter. It also goes great with some tights we already had. Sewing the buttons on the back was the worst part. Corduroy is rough on the hands. My sewing machine manual explains how to use it to put buttons on, and I am sooo gonna learn how to do that now.
Winter Skirt
I picked up some corduroy a while back to make some winter skirts. This skirt turned out okay, although I need to "petite" the pattern. The distance between my waste and hips is way shorter then this pattern so it doesn't exactly fit right. If I use this again, I will make that adjustment. I do like the color and the weight of the fabric though.
