Yet another Maternity Shirt.

This is some of sheer fabric I received for Christmas. This shirt was quite the journey. First of all, I mixed two different patterns for the first time. It worked okay, but it took a lot of altering to make this shirt look non tent-like. I gained some confidence working with my dress form. In other words, if it fits wonky on the form, it is not going to magically fit right on me! I'm really pleased at how the fit of the form matches me (minus the belly of course).

I was really starting to give up on this project thinking it would never be right, and the elastic in the wrap was a last ditch attempt that actually turned this from something I wouldn't wear to something I like.

That is an awesome shirt. You make the best clothes. I will be there next week to watch you finish my girls dresses so I can learn from the master :D

That is beautiful. You inspire me to complete my sewing area and really get down to business--mine is in the upstairs bonus room with lots of leftover boxes from our move; I need to make it kid-friendly to encourage myself to sew more (and exercise more as well...).

That really did come out beautifully. I love the scalloped edging (is it scalloped? It looks that way in the photo). The wrap neckline is sweet, too. I bet it drapes nice. Great work!
